Should I tile to ceiling 9ft, or leave it short by 2’?

Hi all, I’m in the process of converting tub/shower to walk-in shower and I’m wondering what is better when tiling the three walls of the shower.

The room is small, 6’ x 5’ with 9’ ceiling with toilet, shower and door.

Should I tile all the way up to the ceiling or leave it at about 7’ height? What is the trend of there is one?

I’m planning to use a pre-formed shower pan and install frameless sliding doors.

Some photos of before and current state:

IMO, for removing small areas of wall (one or two studs), it's sometimes easier to just assume it's load bearing and put in a header. For such small sections you don't really have to go to the trouble of supporting the wall while working on it (e.g. building a temporary wall, etc.) I have had several circumstances where I couldn't determine conclusively if a wall was load bearing, but doing the extra work of treating it like it was load bearing was far cheaper than calling in a structural engineer to determine.
